The Loss Prevention Group, Inc. (LPG) offers CPR/AED and First Aid classes for the public, CPR Pro classes for health care providers, and Blended CPR/AED and First Aid Online Training Classes.

CPR/AED Training Class

The CPR/AED Training Class is a three hour certification class and covers Adult, Children and Infant CPR/AED. The class is offered most Wednesdays from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm and some Saturdays. The cost of the class is $50 if paid on the day of the class, or $40 if paid in advance and includes a student workbook, wallet skills card, and a two year certification card. This class is open to the public.

First Aid Training Class

The First Aid Training Class is a three hour certification class. The class is offered most Wednesdays from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm and some Saturdays (combined with CPR/AED). The cost of the class is $50 if paid on the day of the class, or $40 if paid in advance and includes a student workbook, wallet skills card, and a two year certification card. This class is open to the public.

For licensed security officers, four Elective hours of Continuing Education (AB 2880) is granted after successful completion of the combined CPR/AED and First Aid Training class. 

CPR Pro Training Class

The CPR Pro Class is a three and-a-half hour certification class and is equivalent to the American Heart BLS course. The class is for healthcare providers (Doctors, Nurses, EMT's etc.). The class is offered most Wednesdays from 9:00 am - 12:30 pm and some Saturdays. The cost of the class is $60 if paid on the day of the class, or $50 if paid in advance and includes a student workbook, wallet skills card, and a two year certification card. This class is open to the public.

Blended Online CPR/AED and First Aid Training

Blended training combines the convenience of online learning at home with a shortened practical skills session with an instructor in order to meet both the knowledge and skill objectives for students. The online portion of the session takes approximately two hours to complete. The skills evaluation session at LPG's office takes approximately 30 minutes and can be scheduled most Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays at 3:30 pm. The cost of the blended CPR/AED course is $50 and the cost of the blended First Aid course is also $50.

Regulatory Information

American Safety & Health and Medic First Aid programs are recognized, endorsed, accepted or approved by state and regulatory agencies, including those licensing security officers, emergency medical services, child care, education, public health, labor, and others. The programs have been revised by, and/or satisfy the requirements of the Department of Labor, Occupational Safety & health Administration, Department of Homeland Security, and the United States Coast Guard.
